Crown The Woman-South Sudan is a national feminist non-profit, non-governmental organisation that was officially registered in 2016, and aims at empowering girls and women to harness their potential and contribute to nation-building socially, politically, and economically.
Crown The woman (CREW) is looking for two compassionate and qualified South Sudanese female assistant social workers to fill the position of Assistant Social worker to assist in providing services to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence like rape, child and forced marriages, domestic violence, Cases will be handled by phone or in person under the project of “Access To Life Saving GBV services during the COVID 19 Pandemic, that is funded by UNFPA.
General description of the role:
The assistant social worker will be under the supervision of the programs Coordinator.
Their key duties and responsibilities will include the following;
- To assist in attending to SGBV cases.
- To submit monthly reports on every 25th of each month
- To assist in making mission plans/ budgets and follow up the receipt for approval as directed by the head of programs.
- Assist in attending to the GBV toll-free hotline 24/7 regardless of Religion, race, tribe, and gender.
- Assist the senior social workers in keeping accurate, organized records after every survivor’s visit to ensure that there are no undocumented breaks between treatments or visits.
- To participate in radio talk shows
- To make referrals to other SGBV services and agencies
- To attend the GBV SUB- Cluster, state coordination, and any other meetings as delegated.
- To support in establishing GBV coordination: Establish and support functioning National Multi-sectoral coordination mechanism for Ending child marriage/GBV in Central Equatoria State.
- Strengthening A weakness about 623 SGBV toll-free hotlines. Create awareness about 623 and Services offered through radio, social media and any other platforms.
- To perform any other duties that will be assigned by the Executive Director, programs manager, Human Resource and Finance personnel.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, psychology or ,any related field.
- At least two years of progressive project experience.
PERSONAL SKILS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- The person must have counseling and psycho-social support skills.
- Listening skills with the capacity to act with tact and diplomacy.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in different cultural/social environments.
- Ability to collaborate/communicate with all relevant stakeholders involved in social worker.
- Excellent in MS applications (powerpoint, Excel, outlook e-mail, and internet)
